プログラム概要
全米屈指の名門大学、NYUニューヨーク大学付属語学学校『イングリッシュランゲージインスティテュート=English Language Institute(ELI)』で学ぶ語学留学プログラム。ELI語学学校のレベルは原則９段階、授業は月曜日～木曜日。日常英会話レベル以上の入学が可能で、初級～中級クラスでは、総合的な英語力I化を目指した会話と筆記両方をバランスよく学習、上級（７～９）では、大学の学部入学準備に重点をおいた授業が中心となり、論文の書き方やディスカッションの練習なども授業に組み込まれ、大学進学に向けた実践的なカリキュラムに定評があります。

ィテュートEnglish Language Institute)は、2019年まではAmerican Language Institute通称ALIとして長年親しまれ、2020年からEnglish Language Institute = ELIに変更されました。1945年に同大学の生涯教育部門=Continuing Educationのひとつとして設立され、初心者から上級者まであらゆるレベルの留学生を世界中から受け入れている。教師陣はニューヨーク大学に所属し、全員が教師として採用される条件であるTESOL(Teaching English to Speakers of Other Language)=英語教授法や、応用言語学、その他言語教育関連分野において修士号を取得しており、更に英語以外の言語が１ヶ国語以上話せるという優秀な教師陣からきめ細かな授業が受けられると評判。NYUの語学学校ALIの先生によって発行されている英語教育関連の著作物も多数。

1) Comprehensive English Program 集中英語プログラム
- 学生ビザ取得プログラム
- Fall 14週間, Spring 14週間、Summer 6週間+6週間 or 12週間
- 1クラス15～18人
- 基本的には大学進学を目指す為の語学留学プログラム。
- 初級(日常英会話)レベルでは、会話の時間も多く取り入れられるが、上級レベルではエッセイや論文の授業・課題等、筆記に多くの時間が費やされる。
- 授業時間 週20レッスン授業 月・火・水・木 8：45AM～11:45AM, 13：00～14：40 ※金曜日授業無。
2) Mastering English Program
- 3週間コース、夏季と冬季 不定期 の開催
- 語学上級者向けの短期集中プログラム
The Mastering English Program is a dynamic, short-term English language program that provides a wide range of language courses and cultural learning experiences for international high school and college students, working professionals, and adult learners. The program’s location, in the heart of New York City, provides incomparable access to the cultures of the world. We extend our classroom to the streets, offering you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the language and the culture with ease and with accuracy. ■Introduction to Global Business Leadership
Session 1: July 6 – July 24, 2020
Session 2: July 27 – August 14, 2020
This program prepares students to compete in today’s global business environment. The course pays particular attention to presentation skills, business communication and cultural considerations in a global economy. Morning classes build students’ English skills in preparation for interactive afternoon lectures on topics such as Marketing, Branding, Entrepreneurship, and Finance Management.
■American Culture, History and Arts
Session 1: July 6 – July 24, 2020
Session 2: July 27 – August 14, 2020
This program takes full advantage of what NYC has to offer. Students build their writing, reading and oral communication skills in morning English sessions which weave in topics of the culture, history and art of New York. Afternoon excursions match the weekly themes and provide students with opportunities to further their understanding of classroom lessons.
■Academic English Intensive
Session 1: July 6 – July 24, 2020
Session 2: July 27 – August 14, 2020
This rigorous and rewarding course is designed to help students accelerate their progress in speaking, listening, reading and writing. Intensive morning clinics and afternoon workshops build language skills necessary for success in an academic or professional environment. Students receive personalized attention through focused exercises and activities and will leave this course with increased confidence, accuracy and fluency in English.
